The first subsidiary of the Group, Leoch Battery Corporation, based in Los Angeles California, starts its operation
Jiangsu manufacturing plant and R&D center
A new manufacturing plant was established in Jiangsu province of China, with a total area of 200K sq.m. and 27 production lines. Today, the annual production capacity of the factory is approximately 2.9GVAH/year.
Zhaoqing manufacturing plant
Located in the Zhaoqing city of Guangdong province, the factory produces mainly industrial and automotive batteries with annual production capacity 3.3GVAH/year and 12 production lines.
Anhui manufacturing plant
Founded in 2008 with 15 production lines producing mainly automotive and industrial batteries, the factory’s annual production capacity exceeds 280MVAH/year.
Leoch “on board” of the HK Stock Exchange
A significant milestone in Leoch history, since the company was listed on the Main Board of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited.
At the same year, new subsidiaries in the United Kingdom (LEOCH BATTERY UK LTD.) and Singapore (LEOCH International Holding PTE. LTD.) are founded.
Lithium new assembly line in Zhaoqing factory
Leoch expands its business by operating the 1st assembly line for Lithium – Ion batteries.
A new manufacturing plant starts its operation in Shah Alam, Malaysia producing mainly industrial batteries.
Sri Lanka manufacturing plant
Leoch goes beyond its borders for the 2nd time, introducing the new industrial plant in Hambantota province of Sri Lanka. The annual production capacity is 180MVAH/year, in a total area of 12K sq.m., and 2 production lines for industrial batteries.
Two new R&D centers are established in Anhui and Jiangsu factories. In particular, the new R&D center in Jiangsu focus on Lead Carbon battery technology development.
The second factory in Malaysia starts its operation
Located in Jenjarom in a total area of 24K sq.m. and 3 production lines, the factory produces mainly industrial batteries and its annual production capacity exceeds 440MVAH/year

Establishment of 3 new subsidiaries in Europe
Having already introduced LEOCH EUROPE S.A. as the headquarters of EMEA region, 3 new subsidiaries are added to reinforce Leoch presence in Europe.
LEOCH FRANCE SAS based in Aubergenville, LEOCH NORDEUROPA GmbH based in Padeborn, Germany and LEOCH ITALY Srl. based in Bologna.
New manufacturing plants in Vietnam and Anhui China
Leoch announced the operation of two new manufacturing facilities at the beginning of 2019.
The state-of-the-art Lithium-Ion factory in Anhui province of China, covers an area of 1.5mil. sq.m with 3 production lines. The investment exceeds 172mil. US$ and the annual production capacity reaches 4GWH/year.
The Vietnam factory, an investment of 100mil. US$, has 9 production lines for industrial, automotive and motive power batteries and an annual production capacity of 2.15GWH/year.
LEOCH BATTERY UK LTD. establishment
Leoch International Holdings PTE LTD, acquired a 100 per cent stake in DBS Leoch, as the company were then and became Leoch Battery UK LTD – the UK subsidiary, joining franchises in Germany, France, Italy and Greece across Europe.
Establishment of the new subsidiary Leoch Iberia
Leoch expands into Spain and Portugal by acquiring Madrid-based Meibat SL. distribution business to establish the new LEOCH IBERIA SL company.
New Lithium factory in Jiangsu
Due to the increased demand for Lithium batteries Leoch announced the operation of one new manufacturing plant located in Jiangsu China with annual production capacity at 6GWH.
New manufacturing plant in Mexico
Leoch is building a new manufacturing plant in Mexico to further enhance its market presence in the Americas.
